INHERITANCES

Our firm has extensive experience in the full execution of international inheritances, including applications for Last Will and Testament Certificates; national declarations of heirs or applications for the European Certificate of Succession; notarised signatures for Deeds of Acceptance and Partitions of Inheritance; payment of Inheritance Tax;  registrations in the Land Registry and the Cadastre, as well as changes to bank direct debits for bills including electricity, water, council tax and waste disposal.

PURCHASE AND SALE

We provide comprehensive advice to manage the purchase and sale of real estate in Spain; from contract drafting to researching about possible liens and encumbrances, preparation of documents to sign before the Notary; management of Tax Agency payments as well as correspondence with Town Councils. We also carry out registrations in the Land Registry and the Cadastre and changing of bank direct debits for council taxes, waste disposal and other bills including electricity and water.

Likewise, we have English and German speaking property agents to look for properties on your behalf and/or a bank to finance your purchase, in case you need it.

Alexander

Alexander Prinzen

Alexander Prinzen holds a  Bachelor’s Degree in Law by the University of Granada and is a member of the Professional Association of Lawyers of Almería, with registered number 2167. He was born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and has lived in the province of Almería since he was a child, but he is of German origin.

He studied English for a year in the South of England where he achieved the highest qualifications from the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge.

He took different European Union Law courses as well as courses referring to Civil and Criminal Law. He also achieved the degree of Real Estate Manager in Building Promotion. Finally, he was appointed as German Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Almería in 2005. Since then, he has been running the Consulate Office located in Aguadulce which includes the jurisdiction of eastern Andalusia.

Michaela Prinzen

Michaela Prinzen was born in Germany, but has lived in Spain since she was 2 years old. She studied in Spain, England and Germany where she achieved the “International Secretariat Degree” for German, Spanish and English language.

She worked in the hotel industry, first in Germany and then for 17 years in Lanzarote (Canary Islands), in different departments: Reception, Sales, Marketing, Public Relations and Management. During this period she followed training herself for customer service, business management, marketing and commerce as well as international formalities.

Since 2001 she has worked for the German Consulate where she is general secretary. As well as being the personal secretary of the Prinzen Law Firm, she is trained as an Insurance Exclusive Advisor for ALLIANZ and DKV SEGUROS.

She provides personalised advice on general insurance issues with ALLIANZ and in health insurances with DKV.
